Continued: The spinning wheel had been in the general area of Franklin and then in Ohio. Some notes and wool samples are included, I believe from the “Standish” farm. Would the museum be in receiving the spinning wheel as a donation?

(I had started a conversation about this with the museum a few years ago, but had to break it off because of a changed family situation.)

    • Fred, just an update on the spinning wheel you donated … we’ve had it repaired by one of our volunteers, and hope to have it, along with the notes and samples you provided, very soon. We’ll post pictures when we have it on display. Thank you again for your generous donation.

  2. Please contact me if you have interest in these items. I will let them go if they were to be displayed properly.

  3. Hello David,
Thank you for contacting us. The museum is always interested in acquiring information and artifacts on local residents. A picture, a story, a connection to Franklin, we are always interested. Let me know if you would like to meet to discuss a donation. We can’t guarantee that everything donated will always be displayed, but we can discuss what you have and see if it might fit in.
Thanks again for contacting us. Let me know your thoughts.
