Hello! I am looking for any information or contacts available re SHEPARD WIGGIN. I am his great granddaughter. Along w/my interest, my granddaughter is doing a report about him for her school (Wayland). Do you know if any information can be faxed or is there a site where we could read about him – or make contact with your Civil War Museum and discover more. I didn’t find anything specific in the Franklin library. I believe that he had a picture of his two-year old daughter Ellen in his pocket when he died – and that he fought at the Battle of Fredericksburg in 1962. Is the history dept. in Franklin doing a project regarding him – could I speak with the teacher? Anything that you can think of would help so much. I spoke w/the town clerk years ago to substantiate my grandmother’s birth, in connection to marrying into the Buell family in Natick and verifying eligibility for the DAR, but I wasn’t aware of the Museum for the Civil War at that time. Thank you again,
Joanne Ellen Buell Bache

Hi, I’m hoping to hear back from the woman who transcribed the Wiggin diaries. I’ll put her in touch with you when I hear from her. I can also have a look to see if there might be anything in our files. As soon as we find anything we’ll be in touch.
While exploring the rich past at the Franklin Historical Museum, modern tools like the crypto wallet offer a glimpse into the future of secure digital finance in the U.S.
